20 for man’s wrath works not God’s righteousness.

Wherefore putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness,

d. 1:22 DELUSION: KNOWLEDGE APART FROM CORRESPONDING ACTION

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only,

e. 1:23-24 FALLACY: NOT TO CORRECT THE MIRROR’S IMAGE

For if any is hearer of the word and not doer,

HE is like a man beholding

But who looks into the perfect law,

being not a hearer that forgets but a doer of work,

g. 1:26 VANITY: CLAIMING RELIGION WITH A WAGGING TONGUE
Ei tis doKEI THRESkos [2357] EInai,
If any thinks himself to be religious,
me cha-li-na-goGON [5468] GLOSsan he-auTOU alLA a-paTON karDIan he-auTOU,
not bridling his own tongue but deceiving his own heart,

the religion of this man is vain.
h. 1:27 PURE RELIGION BRINGS OUTREACH AND HOLINESS
thresKEIa ka-thaRA kai aMIan-tos [283] paRA to TheO kai paTRI HAUte esTIN,
Pure religion and undefiled before our :God and Father is this,
e-pisKEPtes-thai or-phaNOUS [3737] kai CHEras [5503] en te THLIpsei [2347] auTON,
to visit orphans and widows in their :affliction,
ASpi-lon [784] he-auTON teREIN aPO tou KOSmou.
and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
NOTE: Various revivals have various ear-marks. The 1994 Toronto Blessing reached east to Great Britain primarily to fulfill its blessing. It was like Ezekiel’s river to the ankles. Pensacola added dimensions of repentance and holiness to this foundation, and brought the river to the knees. The 1948 Northern Canada Visitation saw the river to the loins, and added the Presbytery Concept, Apostles & Prophets to the 5-fold ministries of Ephesians 4:11-12, and the Heavenly Choir restored from the meetings of Mrs. Maria Woodworth-Etter in the teen years and the twenties.
But what we are about to experience just prior to the return of our Lord Jesus – rivers to swim in – will be all past revivals gathered into one, and multiplied by 10 to 100.
James 1:27 is especially illustrated in the present Mozambique Revival led by Heidi and Rolland Baker under God. 2000 orphans are having their needs met. 5000 churches have been raised up since 1994. Some 12 adjunct countries in Southern Africa have also been strongly touched. (Do a “Google” search under “Iris Ministries” for more information.)
Rolland is grandson of H.A. Baker, author of “Visions Beyond the Veil” and many other titles, and an outreach to Chinese orphans and beggars of Kunming that is most remarkable.
God knows those who choose to walk His Highway of Holiness.
